About this vintage design furniture
For sale is a wonderful Mid-20th Century Modern brass and travertine stone table lamp by Cerri Nestore, Italy circa 1970s.
With its distinctive 4-sided precision-cut groove detail, this elegant, heavy, solid Travertine (a form of terrestrial limestone) lamp is in good vintage condition, with wear commensurate with 50+ years of age and use. Of note, there's a production repair to one of the edges (see photos) but absolutely nothing to detract. The lamp has been rewired and still retains three of its four pads to the base, with each carrying the now-worn "cn" logo.
Cerri Nestore, which was based in Volterra, in northern Italy, specialised in the production of high-end Travertine lamps and decorative objects, which have now come to be highly sought after.
