About this vintage design furniture

The Luxo lamps by Norwegian designer Jac Jacobsen are by far the most known spring held architect lamps of all time. This the early model 1001 in matte black. 85 cm fully stretched out and in good condition but with the usual industrial patina no dents or bends. Moves, stops and stays in all directions. In 1934 Jacobsen founded Luxo ASA, former Jac. Jacobsen A / S, a Norwegian industrial group. It was originally a marketing company for textile machinery. In 1937, he developed the Luxo-L1, a balanced-arm lamp. Today, the lamp is part of various exhibitions in museums around the world, as the lamp is being seen as an example for classic lamp design.
