About this vintage design furniture
Bauhaus desk in chromed tubular steel and tinted beech designed by Petr Vichr and originally manufactured by Vichr and Co. and then by Konova in Czechoslovakia in the 30s, this desk features 2 blocks of 4 deep lockable drawers and a beech tray tinted with a chromed tubular steel structure, characteristic of Bauhaus functionalist style. Note: the original handles set are in good original condition.

About the designer
Rudolf VICHR
Rudolf Vichr (1912-2001) was a Czech industrial designer known for his functional and elegant furniture creations. Born in Prague, he studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where he was influenced by the Bauhaus movement and modernist designs.
