Cloutier Brothers vintage ceramic pocket tray, 1950
About this vintage design furniture
Ceramic pocket dish by the Cloutier Brothers. Bird and its flower motif. The Cloutier brothers were fascinated and influenced as much by Marie Vassilieff as by Georges Jouve, with whom Robert did an internship. They were also hired by the ceramist Pol Chambost before opening their own workshop in 1955. Colorful and playful, their ceramics are unique and poetic.
