About this vintage design furniture
Type 53. Armchair designed by Jaroslav Šmídek and manufactured by TON. Represents the Brussels style, which formed after the enormous success of czech design during the Expo 58 Brussels World’s Fair in the year 1958. Frame made of bent beechwood. Fully renovated, given a deep raspberry upholstery.

Jaroslav Smidek is a Czech industrial designer born in 1988 in Prague. He studied at the University of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where he graduated with a degree in industrial design in 2013.
