About this vintage design furniture
’Konkylie’, or ’Conch Shell’ ceiling lamp was made for the Tivoli Garden in Copenhagen in 1964. Designed by Louis Weisdorf and manufactured by Lyfa. The brass lamellas reflect the light and cover the lightbulb from any angle. The warm light is created by the interior surface which is lacquered, alternating yellow and orange.

About the designer
Louis WEISDORF
Louis Weisdorf was a Danish designer who was born in Copenhagen in 1932 and died in 2012. He studied at the Royal Danish School of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, graduating in architecture in 1954.
