About this vintage design furniture
Beautiful Minerva (model FD516) coffee table designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen and manufacturedf by France & Daverkosen in Denmark, in the 1950s. This two-tiered cocktailcoffee table was designed in 1956 and it’s made of solid medium-dark teak and rattan. The legs are connected with brass angled supports. The item is in very good vintage condition.

About the designer
Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
