Javier MARISCAL

Mariscal studied at the Valencia School of Applied Arts, where he developed his interest in design and art. Early in his career, he worked as a freelance graphic designer and began to make a name for himself with his innovative and expressive posters and illustrations. His unique style, characterized by flowing lines, bright colors and a playful approach, quickly attracted attention and won him international recognition.

In the 1980s, Mariscal also ventured into the field of industrial design and furniture. He created original, avant-garde pieces for renowned brands such as Memphis and Moroso. His creations were distinguished by their playfulness and use of organic shapes and bold colors.

One of Mariscal's most emblematic projects is the Cobi character, the mascot of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. Cobi quickly became a popular symbol and contributed to Mariscal's international renown.

In addition to his work in graphic and industrial design, Mariscal has also explored the field of animation. He has directed animated shorts, including "Chico & Rita", which was nominated for an Oscar in 2012.
