During the 50s, 60s and 70s, he designed a variety of lamps with refined, elegant curves. He also designed metal chairs for adults and children. Biography Roger Fatus was born in France in 1926. He studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieur des Arts Décoratifs, graduating in 1953. Two years later, he began working for Jacques Dumond. In 1953, he exhibited his work at the Salon des Arts Décoratifs and worked with Dumond on the design of the Paris pavilion for the 1958 Brussels World Fair. In the same year, he opened his own practice in Paris. At the same time, he designed furniture for various publishers and was in charge of several interior architecture projects for Pathé Marconi, FNAC and Novotel. He was also director of the Camondo school in the 1980s. He has received numerous awards, including the Grand Prix National du Meuble in 1967 and the Prix René Gabriel in 1969.
