After studying architecture at Barcelona's Higher Technical School of Architecture, Tusquets began his career as an architect in the studio of his compatriot and mentor, the renowned Catalan architect Josep Antoni Coderch. He also worked closely with Spanish painter and sculptor Salvador Dalí for several years, which had a notable influence on his approach to design.

Over the years, Tusquets has developed a multidisciplinary career, focusing on various areas of design, including furniture, decorative objects, interior architecture and urban planning. He founded his own design studio, Tusquets, Díaz & Associates, in 1964, which has become a major player on the Spanish design scene.

Oscar Tusquets' most notable achievements include architectural and interior design projects for iconic buildings in Spain, such as the Joan Miró Foundation Museum in Barcelona, the National Theatre of Catalonia and the Parc de la Villette in Paris.
