Carl Harry STALHANE

Stålhane began working for Rörstrand in 1939 as an apprentice. He soon showed a talent for pottery design and began working on his own creations in 1949. During the 1950s and 1960s, he designed some of his most famous pieces, including the "Monica" series and the "Karin" series.

Stålhane's style was known for its elegant minimalism and use of sober, earthy colors. He was also known for his skilful use of different glazing techniques to create interesting textural effects on his pieces.

Stålhane won numerous awards for his work, including the Gold Medal at the Faenza Ceramics Exhibition in Italy in 1956 and the Grand Prix at the Cannes Ceramics Exhibition in France in 1961. His career continued successfully in the 1970s and 1980s, until his death in 1990. Today, Stålhane's pieces are highly sought-after by ceramic collectors the world over.
