About this vintage design furniture
Scandinavian floor lamp Panthella by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen. Works with standard E27 bulbs. Edition of the 2000s. Perfect condition. Created in 1971, Panthella is one of Verner Panton's most famous creations. The basic lighting principle was to create a lamp with the base and shade as reflectors. The light source of the lamps is hidden behind a hemispherical, milky white acrylic shade and a white trumpet-shaped base contributes to a superb light distribution and a well-balanced shape. The table lamp has a slightly smaller shade to provide a design more suitable for table placement. Several versions were produced in the early days, but Panthella with a lampshade and a white foot is the only edition still in production. "The main purpose of my work is to encourage people to use their imaginations. " - Verner Panton.
