About this vintage design furniture
This is the largest of the pine veneer pendant lights that Hans-Agne Jakobsson created in the 1960s. The T 412 "Trym". It has a diameter of 50 cm. It is made with different diameter rings of carefully bent pine veneer around a pine wood frame. This is a stunning lamp but unfortunately it has a few breaks in the lower ring as seen in the photos. These lights are very fragile and this in combination with the warm light bulbs of the 60s and 70s they are very difficult to find with no injuries at all. The damage is well reflected in the price. Hans-Agne Jakobsson was undeniably one of the world’s most versatile and productive lighting designers and manufacturers in the fifties, sixties and seventies. He was also one of the best and most important designers in the Scandinavian era of golden and soft non-dazzle light. His earlier designs follow Scandinavian giants such as Poul Henningsen, Paavo Tynell and Alvar Aalto and he should be seen as important as the concurrent world renowned Nordic lighting designers Greta Magnusson-Grossman, Lisa Johansson-Pape, Verner Panton and Jo Hammerborg. Diameter 50 cm height 38 cm. Standard E27 light bulb socket.
