A stunning and rare 3-tier chandelier featuring Idman K2-133 anodized copper shades designed by Tapio Wirkkala and a boomerang-shaped teak stand. WIR incandescent bulbs of the period provide warm light. The length of the wires can be adjusted to the desired height. Excellent vintage condition.Tapio Wirkkala designed a collection of lights for Idman Oy, circa 1959-1961. This set features vintage incandescent bulbs, but replacement WIR LED bulbs are now manufactured.

Tapio WIRKKALA
1915 - 1985Tapio Wirkkala was a Finnish designer and artist born on June 2, 1915 in Hanko, Finland, and died on May 19, 1985 in Helsinki. He is considered one of Finland's most important designers and left his mark on the history of 20th-century Scandinavian design.
