About this vintage design furniture
A beautiful set of four dining chairs, model “Costes”, designed by Philippe Starck and manufactured by Driade in Italy around 1980. These highly recognizable chairs have black lacquered metal bases and warm brown wooden shells, nicely bent to create armrests and backrest from a single piece. These iconic chairs were originally designed for the Costes café in Paris and became classic pieces of vintage design ever since These chairs were manufactured in the eighties, which was the beginning of the collaboration between Starck and Driade. Each piece remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Sold as a set.
