Rare dish by Tapio Wirkkala model "Polipo" for Venini, from the series "Piatti di Tapio" signed and dated Venini TW 90 on the back, made of Murano glass using the Incalmo technique. This beautiful dish is presented as a sculpture on a black metal base. It has very nice colors, with a beautiful aquamarine blue, gray, royal blue and a touch of green and red in the center. This sculpture has a very nice presence, ideally displayed on a large console, or placed on a fireplace. This dish of 38 centimeters in diameter is in perfect condition.

Tapio WIRKKALA
1915 - 1985Tapio Wirkkala was a Finnish designer and artist born on June 2, 1915 in Hanko, Finland, and died on May 19, 1985 in Helsinki. He is considered one of Finland's most important designers and left his mark on the history of 20th-century Scandinavian design.
