A beautifully designed and crafted ‘Knightsbridge’ large sideboard designed by Robert Heritage for the award-winning British fine cabinet maker Archie Shine and retailed through Heal's department stores.
Features such as stunning reeded drawer fronts, rectangular handles, and curved lip to the back.
The sideboard is constructed from a combination of teak and afromosia. The top boasts an impressive grain detail, truly stunning. The layout of the sideboard consists of two large, shelved cupboards and a bay of four drawers, the top and the second one fully intact with green baize-lined cutlery inserts, the double doors open out to reveal two large shelved cupboard areas with a vast amount of storage capabilities.
A very desirable sideboard, in superb restored condition - very clean inside and out. There may be some minor polish in blemishes as to be expected for its age, please see the photographs for more detail.

Robert Heritage (1927-2002) was a British industrial designer renowned for his work in the 1950s and 1960s. Born in Leytonstone, East London, he studied at the Walthamstow School of Art, then at the Royal College of Art.
