Vintage chandelier in metal and cut glass, Italy 1950

Impressive Italian chandelier with cut and faceted glass, 1950s. Its metal structure is in one piece, with six arms. It is all covered in crystals of different shapes, combining the natural color with delicate amber drops. The structure extends from the top, outward as it approaches the bottom. The arms are joined with elegant pendant chains composed of small crystals and from which larger drop-shaped crystals hang. It should be taken into account that different glass pendants are added to this type of lamps in order to refract the light and thus contribute to creating an elegant atmosphere wherever it is located. Among the pendants, the slightly faceted solid crystal pandelocas stand out. This style of chandelier or chandelier takes its name from Empress Maria Theresa of Austria. On a visit to Paris she was impressed by the crystal chandeliers that she had the opportunity to see and these served as inspiration for the chandeliers in her palace.
